There is so much to do, you will want to stay!
From relaxing in the sun while you breathe in the fresh salt air and enjoy the gentle ocean breezes no matter where you are on the island to swimming, fishing, kayaking, surfing, windsurfing, and kiteboarding, the sandy white beaches are the place to be! The beautiful birds are always a joy to watch. Pay close attention, you may see some dolphins frolicking about, an endangered beach mouse, or a gopher tortoise.

There are dozens of beach access points if you have 4-wheel drive (don’t forget your pass which you can purchase right at the entrance)!  If an old- fashioned beach experience is your preference, Anastasia State Park offers 3 miles for beach walkers only (the northern end) and most signs of civilization are hidden behind the beautiful dunes!

There are plenty of sunny accommodations and tropical seaside restaurants to suit your tastes.  Enjoy the beachfront park with an impressive fishing pier, pavilion, splash park and sand volleyball courts, farmers markets, miniature golf, and a decidedly laid back attitude.

On the beaches of St. Augustine, a single day can deliver a lifetime of memories.

Love to fish? Deep sea charters are available at the Conch House Marina. Anglers find blackfin tuna, wahoo, mahi mahi, kingfish and sailfish. In the summer months, the Atlantic Ocean off St. Augustine is a playground for king fishermen.  The Southern Kingfish Association, headquartered in St. Augustine, sanctions more than 100 tournaments throughout the Southeast. With purses totaling more than $100,000, the kingfish tour now rivals the professional bass fishing circuit. If a laid-back boating experience is what you long for, rent you own boat at Devil’s Elbow. That’s where we take our family!
